All the fashion weeks are over (is it just me or are there becoming more and more every year?) and we have seen what the fashion houses are bringing out for spring 2019. This means that we already know the trends for next year but the products haven’t come out yet. And for my fellow bargain hunters (and vintage lovers) this is the time to strike to get the revived looks for less.
If you have been paying any attention to the latest designs the fashion houses have been releasing they are actually just designs from the archives. Gucci and Dior both have successfully done this and the latest to revive a design is Hermes. Hermes reintroduced the Hermes Herbag into the spring 2019 collection. (Note that when i say reintroduced I mean brought it back into the spotlight- Hermes has been quietly producing the Herbag Zip for years.)
Hermes is always one of those brands that people think is out of their reach price wise. And while its true that the bags aren’t cheap in the traditional sense their vintage bags can be considered “reasonably priced” for luxury goods. And when I say reasonably priced I mean under $1,000.
The Herbag comes in three sizes- pm, mm and gm. I personally have the pm and think its a great size for an everyday handbag and is definitely a bigger handbag. The Herbag also comes in a couple of styles- a backpack, a tote, a crossbody and a handheld handbag with a shoulder strap. I have the handheld version with the shoulder strap and its very reminiscent of the Kelly bag.
