The Real Real

Pros- authenticated before listed; returns on items that are not final sale; has great sales (sometimes up to 50% off); carries all designer goods (not just purses); has a great phone app

Cons- always have to pay for shipping; charges tax if you live in CA; does not come in the nicest dust bags

Tradesy

Pros- can make offers; no tax; great sales; some very trusted sellers like Trendlee and Bagriculture; wide range of styles and products; can return for Tradesy credit and full refund if not authentic; Tradesy will let you send it in to them for free if you question authenticity

Cons- Tradesy tries to weed out fakes but still have to be cautious; sellers are third parties using Tradesy as a platform so sometimes they have already sold the item

Vestiaire Collective

Pros-good customer service; ability to make offers (on certain items); does have sales; does quality control and checks for authenticity before sending it to you

Cons- mainly a european company so can be harder to get ahold of them; shipping is very expensive to the US; lots of fakes pass through their controls

Poshmark

Pros- ability to make offers; wide variety of purses; great phone app and a website

Cons- only have 3 days to accept the package; shipping charged regardless of what you buy; people describe their own items so do not always describe them accurately; limited returns; have to be wary of fakes

Mercari (note that this is an app you would need to download!)

Pros- great deals; ability to make offers

Cons- cannot return (generally- if item is not authentic or not as described then you can); have to accept the order within 3 days of package being delivered; not the best customer service but this has been improving; phone/tablet application and therefore no website; also have to be wary of fakes

***when utilizing Tradesy, Poshmark or Mercari I recommend having the bag authenticated and having done some research on what makes an authentic bag for that designer.
